Printing reports to a PDF file
If you have a PDF Driver on your computer, you can print any report from Ace Payroll (and all other programs) to a PDF File.
This is handy as you can then attach the file to an email if it needs to be sent to someone and it can also be saved onto your computer.
 | If you don't have a PDF Driver we recommend doPDF which can be freely downloaded from www.dopdf.com The screen below shows their main website page. Click Free Download to begin the process. The instructions walk you through downloading and installing the PDF Driver. |
 | Once installed, the PDF Driver is added as a printer, meaning you can select it in Ace Payroll and your other programs. For example, in Ace Payroll go to Setup then Printer Setup. You can now select the PDF Driver as shown below. |
 | Next time you attempt to print something in Ace Payroll, rather than go to the printer, the screen below appears. |
On the above screen choose the folder and name of the saved file.
If Open PDF in reader is ticked the file opens for checking once OK is clicked.
You are done - if the reason for printing to PDF is so you can send the file to someone, you can now send them an email and attach this file.
