Overwriting Default PAYE

image
  • Overwrite an employee's default PAYE from the pay calculation screen, which itself is accessed from the front screen.
  • Simply click over the PAYE field in the usual pay column, and enter the default amount from the dialog then displayed.

To make the change effective immediately, update the PAYE in the current period Amount column as well.

Summary

  • Entering non standard PAYE in the Usual Amount column ensures that is the default PAYE, rather than the amount specified by the tax code.
  • Entering a value in the Current Period column overwrites the value for the current pay period only.
  • Entering the value in both places makes the change effective immediately, and ensures the program automatically deducts the amount each pay period.
